Happy Wednesday, Fresno Foodies!

It’s Fresno Fair season — or, excuse me, Big, Big, Big Fresno Fair season. 

It’s a right of passage in fair season to head over to the fairgrounds and get a cinnamon roll. If they’re not the most popular food item at the fair, they’re in the top three. And, look, we like a fair cinnamon roll as much as the next person, but did you know that there’s no reason to think delicious cinnamon rolls can only be found during the two weeks of the fair? 

All you need to do is go find Cinnamon Roll Shack. 

This family-run food truck serves up warm, gooey cinnamon rolls that some have said are even better than the ones at the fair. We’re not in the business of reviewing such things, but we think you should be. 

What makes Cinnamon Roll Shack stand out is its dedication to the craft and the freshness of its rolls. If you see them at a Fresno Street Eats location, know that they were there 90 minutes before we opened, rolling and cooking those rolls fresh. 

They’re usually out with us Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday nights. You’ll find them in various places on our schedule, like Harlan Ranch, Fancher Creek, out at our Reedley events and various others. Give them a follow so you don’t miss them.

The new Target in SE Fresno is turning 1 and we’re having a party! We’re doing a special little pop-up at our Fancher Creek location tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 14, just to be clear because while I hope you read this the second it pops into your inbox, can’t be certain that you do).

Fancher Creek is usually bi-weekly on Thursdays — we’re back to our regular cadence next week and pop-up on Oct. 22 — but we couldn’t pass up this opportunity to celebrate with our friends at Target and Fancher Creek.

Mark your calendar for our Burgers & Brews Trail, happening Saturday, Oct. 24 at six different breweries in Clovis. This is a fun event where we rent some shuttle buses, run them on a loop all day and offer people free rides between all the breweries. They can eat burgers all along the way. 

This is the same concept as our Tacos & Taps Trail, which has been going successfully for a few years now. We decided to have some fun with it this year and change up the food. We did a pizza version in the spring and now the burger version. 

Because they can’t all be taco events, right?
