Rice & Bites
A lot of Fresno Street Eats vendors are just regular people chasing dreams. They have jobs. They have kids. And they have a dream on the side.
Rice & Bites is one of those of vendors. They’re a true family business. If you go to the food booth at one of our events, you’ll find Mom, Dad, their young son and their nephew. You’ll find family recipes. You’ll find them working hard on the grill and at the register.
We’re spoiled to have many great Asian food vendors on the Fresno Street Eats roster — particularly Southeast Asian — but Rice & Bites is pretty unique in that their foundation is Cambodian food, with other Asian-fusion options on the menu too.
As dream-chasers, they’re working hard this week. You can catch them at all three events highlighted above — they’re fixtures at 559 Night Market, for instance — plus our Wednesday night location at Harlan Ranch. Go show their small business some love!

We’re partners on the 559 Night Market in Chinatown, an event that is near and dear to my heart. But it’s even closer to the heart of my friend Morgan Doizaki, the owner of Central Fish, the inspiration for 559 Night Market and the pied piper of Fresno’s Chinatown.
Nobody believes in Chinatown more than Morgan, and it’s a pleasure of ours to work alongside him to help community rebirth efforts in Chinatown.
Central Fish has been in Fresno since 1950 — a steady force in drawing people to Chinatown, whether it’s for their restaurant, being the go-to fish market in town or having a great variety of Asian snacks and trendy toys.
If you haven’t been to Central Fish in a while, make Friday night the time during 559 Night Market!
