☆ THIS WEEK’S FEATURED TRUCK

The Prime Spot

We love a “New Food Truck Alert” — it’s a type of social media post we’ve been doing for years now, signaling both a new addition to the Fresno Street Eats roster and a new local business hitting the streets. We love both of those things too.

Sooooo … NEW FOOD TRUCK ALERT!

Welcome The Prime Spot to the Fresno Street Eats. This is a father-and-son operation, with Dad making a career change to chase a food truck dream. The Prime Spot specializes in prime rib, which you can find in a few different vehicles on their menu.

French Dip Sandwiches. Philly Cheesesteaks. Loaded fries. Loaded Mac & Cheese.

If you’re salivating while you read this, good news, you can hit up The Prime Spot for dinner. They’re at Tioga Beer Garden tonight (aka Wednesday, Sept. 16) from 5-9p. You can also find them at Sanger’s National Night Out from 4-8p Saturday at Sanger Park.

And surely more locations in coming weeks.

✦ Did You Know …

Oktoberfest is upon us? We work with quite a few breweries, which means we end up participating in quite a few Oktoberfests. And there’s not a single year we don’t get a confused comment about how most of the Oktoberfest events are actually in September.

And just to make it clear: Barrelhouse’s is Saturday, Two Ravens’ is Saturday (it’s called Rockotoberfest), Tioga is next Saturday. Nary an October date to be found.

As you probably know, the real Oktoberfest takes place in Germany. It’s in year 191 — I guess it’s here to stay, huh? — and the Germans decided long ago to start Oktoberfest in September for better weather and more daylight.

So when you put on your lederhosen this weekend, and someone looks at you funny for celebrating Oktoberfest in September, you can tell them why.

✚ Upcoming Events

One Piece Bingo
Thursday, Sept. 17 at Crow and Wolf Brewing

Oktoberfest

✚ From Mike

Hey! Many of you are new here. Welcome! Glad to have you.

I figured it probably wouldn’t hurt to do a reintroduction of sorts. I’m Mike Oz. I’m the president/founder of Fresno Street Eats and I’m giving you all this behind-the-scenes look into what we do every Wednesday, while also keeping you in the loop on upcoming events and introducing you to our vendors.

So if you liked this, please send it to a friend and make plans to come out to an event soon.

If you’re here, reply to this email and tell me something you’d like to see more of in FSE Weekly.

See you out there,

Mike Oz
